THE 60-MINUTE RIDE IS FOR EXPERIENCED RIDERS ONLY. After being introduced to your horse you may mount from the ground or with the assistance of our mounting block. PLEASE BE SURE YOU HAVE READ THE WEIGHT RESTRICTION GUIDELINES ON OUR MAIN HORSEBACK RIDING PAGE. Once mounted you will need to exhibit riding proficiency inside the riding ring. You may walk, trot, canter, or gallop your horse based on your level of comfort and experience. Please understand that, for safety reasons, nervous or anxious riders will not be permitted to ride so please do not sign someone up for horseback riding without their express desire and ability to do so. After a 15-minute warm up session in the ring your riding instructor alone will make the determination as to whether or not you can ride your horse outside of the ring. Once outside, experienced riders will enjoy a trail ride around our farm including the river area which will be followed by some open field riding. During open field you will also be asked not to ride your horse at a more advanced pace than was demonstrated inside the ring. For example, if you walked, trotted, and cantered inside the ring we will ask that you not gallop outside of it.
