It’s our ONCE-A-YEAR time for “Shearing Shenanigans”! Each year Neil Kessler, a native of Maine, makes the long drive down to Florida and then begins shearing his way back home along the Appalachian ridge line. Neil has a degree in animal agriculture and has sheared THOUSANDS of animals in his career! Come out to the farm to see him in action and learn what goes into the shearing process while Neil, commonly known as the Appalachian shearer, works his magic and displays his skills as he shears our camels, llamas, alpacas, and sheep! This event is available for same day booking and includes our Critter Coral petting zoo and playground! This is a drop-in event and guests are welcome to stay as long or as little as they like during the shearing demonstration.

CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULE POLICY:
Reservations without Cancellation Protection are non-refundable; however, guests may request to reschedule by emailing ocoeeriversidefarm@gmail.com at least 72-hours before their scheduled encounter time. REQUESTS MUST BE MADE BY EMAIL ONLY. Optional Cancellation Protection is available to be purchased at the time of booking and cannot be added later. Guests who purchase Cancellation Protection may cancel BY EMAIL ONLY and receive a 100% refund of the encounter cost when cancelling 72+ hours before their encounter and 50% refund when cancelling at least 24-hours before their encounter. CANCELLATIONS INSIDE 24-HRS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE EVEN WHEN CANCELLATION PROTECTION IS PURCHASED. Cancellation Protection applies only to the original scheduled encounter date and time and does not transfer, renew, or carry forward after rescheduling. Refund and reschedule eligibility are determined by the time the email request is received. Except for animal rides and hiking, encounters operate rain or shine. If Ocoee Riverside Farm cancels an encounter, all guests will receive a 100% refund for the cancelled encounter(s) or may choose to reschedule, subject to availability.
