Our 45 Minute Round Pen Ride is ideal for those that have limited experience with horses but show confidence in being able to take the reins with instruction. Riders will be introduced to their horse and will mount with the assistance of a mounting block. PLEASE READ THE WEIGHT RESTRICTION GUIDELINES ON THE MAIN HORSEBACK RIDING PAGE. Riders will be given instruction on how to hold the reins, how to control their horse with the reins, as well as how to start and stop their horse. Our farm hand will be monitoring and offering instruction from center ring as needed. Horses may be asked to move at a walk, trot, or canter based upon the experience and comfort level of the rider but will not be lead.

-We are experiencing a problem with parents signing children up for this ride that are simply not capable of participating in this Experience. The 45-Minute Ride is NOT a lead line ride. The rider will need to use the reins to control their own horse inside the round pen. We do offer instruction, however we do not have the staff to lead horses around the ring for 45 minutes. If you, or more commonly the child you are signing up, is not capable of riding with reins please book our 20-Minute Ride instead keeping in mind that they will still need to be capable of balancing and maintaining an upright position in the saddle. Anyone requiring to be led on this ride will be limited to 20 minutes with no adjustment to cost.

–THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR LODGING GUESTS ONLY AND REQUIRES 24 HOUR ADVANCED BOOKING. Local friends/family of lodging guests may also participate when they sign up for this experience at the same day/time as the lodging guests. –CANCELLATION POLICY: Guests choosing to cancel at least 72 hours prior to their experience may do so on their own for a FULL refund. Cancellation requests of less than 72 hours but more than 24 hours will be refunded in full minus a $10 processing fee. There are no refunds for cancellations inside of 24 hours. In the event of inclement weather experiences that can not be rescheduled are refunded 100%.
LIABILITY WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED BY, OR ON BEHALF OF, ALL GUESTS LODGING WITH US AND/OR PARTICIPATING IN OUR EVENTS AND EXPERIENCES.
