Horseback riding is always a favorite among our guests and here on the farm we provide three different riding options to choose from. Providing more options provides more comfort for our guests as they are able to choose based on their individual horseback riding experience. Whether you are a seasoned rider or have never seen a horse up close, we are prepared to offer you a memorable horseback riding encounter. All three options are offered simultaneously such that families and groups with varied experience can still participate together.

Prior to booking any of the horseback riding experiences it is important that you understand our weight restrictions.  Ocoee Riverside Farm has a weight restriction of 225 pounds.  That said, there is a difference between a 225 lb person that is 5 feet tall and a 225 pound person that is 6 feet tall.  Some folks are strong enough to handle their own weight while others struggle too much.  It is very uncommon that we can’t accommodate someone but please be advised that we will not begin or proceed with a ride if at any point we feel that it is unsafe to do so.  We have mounting platforms to assist you but please be aware that in order to ride you will need to:

-Be able to lift your left foot up 20 inches into the stirrup and pull your weight up while swinging your right leg over the horse

-Be able to maintain your weight on top of the horse for the duration of the ride

-Be able to properly fit between the horn and the cantle of the saddle
