Guests are invited to enjoy a fun day of kayaking down the Ocoee River!  Kayaking trips include shuttle service to the local boat ramp at Sugar Loaf Mountain State Park and are offered 6 days a week April through September.  We equip you with kayaks, paddles, and required life vests for all guests 50+ lbs. (Guests under 50 lbs will need to provide their own USCG approved life vest and the life vest must be shown to the shuttle driver prior to departure from the farm).   From Sugar Loaf you will paddle your way down river and back to Ocoee Riverside Farm where you will find an easy river exit via our own boat ramp.  PLEASE BE AWARE that we are at the mercy of both Mother Nature as well as local dams that are controlled by TVA with regard to river flow.  We monitor both closely and, as a result, must sometimes make changes to the departure schedule.

  • $34.99 per person/ not per kayak.  Includes transport and all necessary gear for guests 50+ lbs.
  • Trip down river takes approximately 2-2.5 hrs without stops however you are free to paddle and/or stop at your leisure
  • No solo kayakers; singles must add a river Guide to their trip
  • Weight limit: child kayak 90 lbs. and adult kayak 275 lbs.
  • Small children may ride tandem with adult as long as max weight limit for kayak is not exceeded
  • Swimsuits or comfortable clothing acceptable
  • Tennis shoes or water shoes; NO BARE FEET OR FLIP FLOPS
**LOOK BEFORE YOU BOOK** THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR LODGING GUESTS ONLY AND REQUIRES 24 HOURS ADVANCED BOOKING.  WE CAN NOT TAKE ANYONE THAT IS PREGNANT.  ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE ADOPTED A NO SOLOS POLICY.  IF YOU ARE A SINGLE PADDLER DESIRING TO GO DOWN THE RIVER YOU WILL NEED TO ADD THE $60 GUIDED TRIP FEE AND WE WILL PROVIDE SOMEONE TO ACCOMPANY YOU ON YOUR TRIP DOWN THE RIVER.  PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EXPERIENCES BEGINNING PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK-IN TIME OF 4PM ON DAY OF ARRIVAL OR EXTEND BEYOND YOUR CHECK-OUT TIME OF 10AM ON DAY OF DEPARTURE AS THEY WILL HAVE TO BE CANCELLED.

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY: Cancellation requests must be submitted to the farm via email.  Requests at least 72 hrs prior to the scheduled experience will be refunded in full minus a $5 processing fee.  Requests of less than 72 hrs but more than 48 hrs will be refunded in full minus a $10 processing fee.  Processing Fees are per person.  There are no refunds for cancellations inside of 48 hrs.  In the event of inclement weather all guest experiences will be rescheduled or fully refunded at guests request. **If a lodging guest books this experience outside of their check-in/check-out times, or if a non-lodging guest books this experience despite the fact that it reads “THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR LODGING GUESTS ONLY”, your refund will be processed minus a $10 processing fee.  ALL REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED WITHIN 10 DAYS FOLLOWING THE CANCELLED EVENT.

LIABILITY WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED BY, OR ON BEHALF OF, ALL GUESTS LODGING WITH US AND/OR PARTICIPATING IN OUR EVENTS AND EXPERIENCES.
